Workshops on Editing Digital Video and Creating VideoPapers
About the software: VideoPaper Builder 3 (VPB3) is a multimedia creation tool for users with average technology skills, that enables the creation of documents called VideoPapers. VideoPapers are interactive documents which link and synchronize video, text, and images a single, cohesive document that can be viewed in a web browser. For more information, please see http://vpb.concord.org
About me: I have been working with the software since its creation by TERC (Cambridge, MA) in 2001. I am a co-designer of the two most recent versions of the software. I have taught more than 200 people with technical expertise ranging from novice to expert how to create videopapers. In addition to creating my own VideoPapers for various purposes, I am also the series editor for the Project LOCAL (Learning Our Community's American Lore) collection of VideoPapers. For examples, please see: http://ase.tufts.edu/local/library.htm
About the workshops: I offer two types of workshops: one on editing digital video using iMovie (for Mac) and Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 (for Windows) and another on creating VideoPapers. Each lasts a full day (7 hours). They can be taken in sequence or individually. I work individually with clients to customize each workshop to emphasize the areas of greatest interest and accommodate specific objectives. I will work individually with groups of up to 5 and will bring co-instructors for groups up to 20. For more information, please see: http://cogandrew.com/consulting/vp_workshops.htm |
